“Ron Fraser was a brilliant baseball man, a true promoter of the sport like none other, and our game has lost one of our all-time greats. Having known Ron throughout his many years in the game, USA Baseball has fond memories of his career at Miami and will forever be indebted to his service as a coach on the 1987 Pan Am Games team and as the manager leading our country in the 1992 Olympic baseball competition.
“Ron’s love for the sport was inspiring, and his impact on it will be felt for years to come.
“On behalf of USA Baseball, we send our deepest condolences to his wife Karen, their family and all Hurricanes fans.”
