USA-Japan Game Two Postponed
Game scheduled for Thursday tentatively rescheduled for July 16.
WORCESTER, Mass. - Game two of the 41st USA vs. Japan Collegiate All-Star Series scheduled for Thursday at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field has been postponed due to rain. It will be tentatively rescheduled for Sunday, July 16 at 5 p.m. at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field.
The July 16 game is tentative at this point because the Lowell Spinners hold the rights to the Sunday time slot if their originally-scheduled game on Saturday, July 15 gets postponed and needs to be rescheduled. If the July 15 game is played, then the Sunday game will be confirmed and played at 5:00. If the Saturday game in Lowell is postponed, the secondary rain date will be Tuesday night, July 18 at 7:00 PM.
Team USA won the series opener of the five-game set on Wednesday night in dramatic fashion as Tyler Frank hit a two-run single in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the U.S. a walk-off victory, 2-1, at Dunkin Donuts Park in Hartford, Connecticut.
