DURHAM, N.C. -- USA Baseball announced Tuesday that seven games of the National High School Invitational (NHSI) will be broadcast live online at USABaseball.com and MLB.com. All available live games will be powered by Major League Baseball Advanced Media's (MLBAM) remote broadcast production crew and streaming technology. The inaugural event bringing together 16 of the top prep baseball programs in the country will run from Mar. 28-31, at the USA Baseball National Training Complex (NTC) in Cary, N.C.

USA Baseball partnered with MLBAM in 2006 to develop and launch USABaseball.com, a premier online presence for its news, scores, video highlights, and more. Events such as the 2009 World Cup and the 2011 Prospect Classic have streamed live, and the two companies have brought live USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award presentations to fans through GoldenSpikesAward.com since 2007. Pete McCarthy and Jonathan Mayo, MLB.com's draft and prospect expert, will call the action from the NHSI, which will be the largest-scale live broadcast production between USA Baseball and MLBAM.

"This announcement represents an extremely positive step for our organization," said USA Baseball Executive Director/CEO Paul Seiler. "MLB Advanced Media's continued support of the USA Baseball brand has been one of the driving forces behind our growth over the last several years, and the upcoming NHSI production will only further that growth."

A list of games scheduled to be streamed live include matchups of teams currently ranked in Baseball America's Top 25 as well as the Saturday, Mar. 31, gold medal final.
