SALT LAKE CITY -- The USA Baseball Women's National Team scored 13 runs in the final two innings to take a 19-4 victory over the Aussie Stars. Seven players recorded an RBI in the game, while the pitching staff totaled 10 strikeouts.

Jen Hunter started for the U.S. and tossed two scoreless innings. Ashley Sujkowski (1-0) followed, giving up a pair of runs on two hits in two innings of work. Kayla Bufardeci, Marti Sementelli and Bessie Noll threw the final three innings. Bufardeci and Noll were each touched for a run.

After a slow start to the contest, the Red, White and Blue struck for four runs in the bottom of the third. Malaika Underwood got the rally started with a one-out base hit. Back-to-back walks followed to load the bases. A miscue on a bouncer to the pitcher allowed Underwood to score. Jill Barrett made it 3-0 with a single to right and a Michelle Snyder base hit gave Team USA a 4-0 lead.

The Aussie Stars battled back, cutting the lead in half in the fourth. Tabitha Callander walked and scored on a triple off the bat of Leslie Anglin. Kaila Borgomastro grounded out to drive in Anglin to make it 4-2.

In the bottom of the frame, the U.S. restored its four-run lead. A pair of two out, bases-loaded walks to Natalie Land and Barrett made it 6-2 heading to the fifth.

Aussie got one of the runs back in the sixth to keep it a close game. A dropped third strike on what should have been the final out came around to score as the Stars executed a double steal. Kiera O'Brien slid in just ahead of the tag with the Stars' third run of the game.

In the sixth, the U.S. sent 14 batters to the plate and scored nine times to break the game open. Two run triples by Clarisa Navarro and Samantha Cobb highlighted the frame. Anna Kimbrell also picked up a one-out, two-run single in the frame and when the inning came to an end, the U.S. had a 15-3 lead.

The Aussie Stars picked up a run in the top of the seventh, but surrendered four more in the bottom of the inning to account for the final score. Tamara Holmes cleared the bases with a triple and scored on a base hit by Underwood.

The USA Baseball Women's National Team will travel to Edmonton, Alberta on Monday morning. After a day off Monday, the U.S. will return to the diamond to face Australia in its first exhibition game Tuesday night at 9:30 p.m. ET. The game will be played at St. Albert University.
