CARY, N.C. -- The Blue team jumped out to an early 5-1 lead and never looked back as it rolled to a 10-5 win over the Red team in the second game of the 14U National Team Development Program.

The scoring started for Blue in the bottom of the first when Jordan Williams doubled home Andrew McNicholas. The offensive outburst continued an inning later in the bottom of the third when Garrett Hodges laced an RBI double to center field, and Ben Ramirez followed up with a two-RBI single.

Red fought back with two runs in the bottom of the fifth when Kevin Milam singled home Christopher Roderiguez, and Rykker Tom drove in a run on a fielder's choice.

But with the score 8-5 in the bottom of the seventh, the Blue team put the game away for good on an RBI single from Landon Miner and an RBI double from Gian Luca Dilatri.

Just as he was in Saturday's game, Dilatri was the driving force behind the Blue offense as he went 2-for-3 with an RBI on Sunday.

For the Red team, Cameron Michael, Dylan Bohnert, Dillon Spacke, Justin Ammons and Kevin Milam each recorded a hit.

On the mound for Red, Kyle Mora pitched two scoreless innings and allowed only one hit. For Blue, Andrew Vaughn tossed two perfect innings with three strikouts.

The 14U NTDP players will have the day off from on-field baseball activity as it will travel to The Performance Academy in Apex, N.C. for player testing.

The team will be back on the field Tuesday morning with practice, and will play a game at 6:00 p.m. ET later that night.
