Pan Am Qualifying Team coaches named
Ernie Young was named manager of the 2010 Pan American Qualifying Team. The team will compete in Puerto Rico from Oct. 1-10 and will be made up of top Minor League talent.

It's been a whirlwind lately for Oakland A's first baseman Jeff Larish (2003 CNT). Larish opened the season with Triple-A Toledo, then got into three games with the Detroit Tigers before being claimed by the A's Aug. 3. Assigned to Sacramento, Larish proceeded to go 10-for-24 with four homers and 15 RBIs in just five games there.

On the second day of the 2010 MLB First Year Player Draft, 38 USA Baseball alums were selected. The second day consisted of rounds 2-30, and the draft continues Wednesday where rounds 31-50 will conclude the 2010 draft.

USA wins 2009 Baseball World Cup
