Thompson helps lead Louisville to Big East title
It took a little time for Jeff Thompson to learn how to get the most out of his huge frame, but it was worth the wait for Louisville. The 6-foot-6, 248-pound right-hander has blossomed into one of the top pitchers in the Big East as a junior, and he threw seven strong innings Friday to help lead the Cardinals to a sweep of Pittsburgh, earning them the conference's regular-season championship.

A 'tireless worker,' Hursh leading OSU hurlers

South Carolina sophomore catcher Grayson Greiner has been invited to the 2013 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team, it was announced on Wednesday afternoon. Greiner was also invited to last year's squad but was unable to participate due to his recovery from a knee injury.
