Women's National Team tryout registration form »
USA Baseball waiver authorization »
Beginning in 2010, USA Baseball implemented a rolling invitation process for the players named to the Women's National Team Trials. Up to 36 players will be identified for the 2012 Women's Trials through a regional tryout process, athletes selected from the 2011 International Friendship Series and by recommendations from scouts, college and high school coaches, and the women's baseball community. As players are named to the team, USA Baseball will publicize the announcement(s) through a press release and/or by post to USABaseball.com.
The primary identification vehicle for the 2012 USA Baseball Women's National Team Trials will be the three regional tryouts presented by USA Baseball.
During the one-day tryout, USA Baseball Coaches and Task Force members will evaluate each of the athletes and select a minimum of 24 players to attend the 2012 USA Baseball Women's National Team Trials. At the Women's Trials, players will participate in practices and intrasquad games to compete for one of the final 20 roster spots on the 2012 USA Baseball Women's National Team. In 2012, the Women's National Team will compete in the IBAF's Women's Baseball World Cup from Aug. 10-19 in Edmonton, Canada. Complete details on the regional tryout process is as follows:
